Inform Interiors and Brian Beck present:
An authentic Swedish Cabin installation

Brian Beck, is an artist and all round the most complete Renaissance man we know. In the summer of 2014 Brian travelled to Dalakunut, Sweden to attend the Gransfors Bruk Log-building Course – Timber Jointing and learn the art and craft of building traditional Swedish log cabins. Gransfors Bruk is an internationally renown company that for over 100 years has specialized in the crafting, care and use of axes, the only tools used in the making of this cabin. If any of you have ever been lulled into hours of zen watching Dick Proenneke’s “Alone in the Wilderness” you will understand the level at which Brian works. The cabin was part of Beck’s Obsolescence: Brian A. Beck 7.11.15 show at Studio e.

Brian Beck will be building the traditional Swedish cabin on site at Inform. We invite you to stop in to see the process on the 25th, and/or come by Inform to view the built cabin in person while it is on display.
Assembly date: Friday March 25 10-4pm
Cabin on view from Friday March 25 – Saturday April 23.
